    Fun decor. Beautiful attentive service. Diverse and delicious menu. Options to pick either the 2 or 3 courses, of which the signature salad, pork chop and vanilla crustless cheesecake are to die for! BYOB. Outside dining deck is divine. A definite must go to!

    Located in the cute town of New Hope. I came upon this cute breakfast spot thanks to my fellow yelpers. They have optional seating on the first floor, second floor and the balcony which is located on the second floor. Great breakfast selection I went for the eggs Benny which was very tasty and spot on. If your an eggs Benedict breakfast person like myself then the eggs Benny is the choice to go with. I would make the 60 mile drive for the eggs Benny since they were just that good. The decor is interesting and cool the ceiling lights are made out of cheese graders which I thought was a very cool concept. Friendly customer service, all in all a great breakfast and I left as one happy customer. This place should definitely be on everybody's bucket list of places to eat at.

    Was here on September 5, 2015 for lunch. Ordered the "Stan and Jan" roast beef sandwich which was nothing to write home about. While the beef was tender, the menu listed horseradish aioli and red onion jam (my main reason for ordering the item) as being on the sammie, but I couldn't taste it at all; kinda lack luster without those condiments - definitely would have been much better with the spicy kick. A table across from me ordered French toast with strawberries and bananas and eggs benny both of which looked amazing. I would definitely give this place another shot next time I'm in the area.

    Had a fantastic pre-fixe dinner here tonight. $24 for two courses, x 2 people. We chose 1 appetizer, 2 entrees and 1 dessert, $48. Well worth it. The salad came out quickly. However, the wait for our 2nd course was very long (somewhere around 20 minutes) and that's the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. That and that we weren't offered sofa refills. Butter for our bread was so tasty. Really. Try it. The ceasar Salad was great! It had bits of hass avocados and grape tomatoes in it. Unsual in a Caesar salad but a welcome surprise. I really enjoyed this salad. The Chicken Marsala was VERY GOOD. The chicken was perfectly cooked yet extremely tender. Possibly the best chicken I've ever had. It had just the right amount of mushrooms on top. I enjoyed the rice snd sauteed zucchini/squash that was served with it. I tasted a bit of the Braised Shortrib and it did not disappoint. Creme Brulee was so good! I almost liked the plate clean.

    Cute, hip little place with adorable decorative accents like industrial beater hanging light fixtures and built in containing an assortment of popular cook books. There is a great little outdoor patio. We came for Sunday brunch. It was busy but not overly crowded. At 10:45 am, we were seated right away however were not given menus upon seating and it took long enough to get them that it was noticeable. We were eventually given menus but not asked if we wanted drinks or coffee until the server came to take our food order. Strange practice or just a green server? Also, offered hot sauce when we were halfway through meal instead of when food was served. It took a full 45 minutes to receive our food from the time we arrived. Our order was 2 omelets and 2 burgers, nothing special so not sure if they were under staffed in the kitchen? Due to gluten issues I asked if the breakfast potatoes that accompany the omelets could be baked or griddle finished instead of put in the fryer due to cross contamination but was told I could not be accomodated. They offered extra fruit as an alternative but normally you would get toast, potatoes, and fruit with the omelet and two of these options had to be eliminated. I did not order fries so I cannot understand why my breakfast potatoes could not be cooked another way. Food was good. No complaints. Ok overall but would definitely try someplace else next time.

    I've been waiting to go here for so long and finally made it. I once tried to go for Sunday brunch but was told the wait was an hour so I gave up but I went back on a Saturday. The place wasn't crowded at all to my surprise! We were seated right away. Phew. We sat outside on a beautiful day and had a great experience. I ordered the French omelette with pepper jack cheese and tomatoes. It came with fruit salad, home fries, and a choice of toast or a pastry. It was the best omelette I've ever had in my life! The eggs were so fluffy and perfectly cooked that I don't think I can have omelettes anywhere else again. Still dreaming about it. My friend ordered an omelette with a scone. I wish I ordered the scone instead of toast because it was so fluffy and scrumptious, and I don't even like scones. Dying to come back.......best brunch place ever. The awesome reviews are there for a reason!

    I had an excellent meal here. Service was great and the space is cute. BYOB a plus! Mushroom risotto balls were awesome and the pork chop was cooked to perfection: tender and well seasoned. Desserts were delish. Check out my pics. I can't wait to be back.

    Exceeded my expectations. Reading the menu posted on the exterior front, I thought, "Inventive items... Perhaps a bit pricy and limiting," but I thought I'd give it a try because the other Yelp reviewers rated it well. I'm glad I did. I sat outside on the back porch (VERY PLEASANT with 80's and 90's tunes at a low volume, and nearly no street noise). I was served with silverware wrapped in a linen napkin, and a bottle of water on the table. I ordered coffee (excellently strong, not bitter) and Skylar's Egg Sammy ( with ham added). SO GOOD! Nice portion size, and served with deliciously done potatoes (too good to be called anything else) and a small portion of fruit. The service was attentive without being intrusive or rushed. Do yourself a favor: try the Blue Moose. I'm glad I did.

    The food is outstanding! Fresh, always delicious and the menu is creative and varied. Sometimes service can be slow when they get busy but it never deters me from returning. The food is worth the wait! The staff is always courteous and accommodating and the atmosphere is funky and fun. It's a MUST DO for your next trip to New Hope!

    We just had a really nice brunch/breakfast -- a nice weekend alternative to Fred's Breakfast :). They're open at 9AM both on Saturdays and Sundays (despite a mistake on their website that only shows Sundays -- I'll call them and tell them to correct). They've opened a really nice patio on the second floor and it was a wonderful way to start the weekend. Cafe Blue Moose was founded by Skylar Bird in 2006 when he was 14! The inside decor is whimsical and hip. The entire staff are college and highschool aged. Reservations only for groups of 10+. This is an independent review. I have no relationship to this store, nor to the best of my knowledge, know anyone who works there.

    Adorable place! The good was above average, and reasonably priced. ($32 for 2 entrees and an appetizer). We got great service, and we will be back. Tables are a little cramped, I could have dealt without the 3 pretentious women sitting to us, but oh well.

    So Blue Moose really lives up to its rep. great entrees great appetizers and consistent quality. I ve been here a dozen times and Chef Skylar manages to present great food which changes seasonally. Try the strip steak with Chimichurri sauce. The pork shank is a menu staple and is not to be skipped for first timers. Dessert here is always a treat and if your not a dessert person you can have an appetizer and salad as part of your 3 course presentation. Make reservations well in advance this is quite the popular spot amoungst locals.

    This place is on regular rotation on my New Hope Brunch trips, with it's great food, cozy ambiance and BYOB-ness. If you are on a hot date, make sure to request outside seating on a beautiful warm day for extra points and added privacy. For entree items here are my TOP favorites: #1 LBGT burger - is a guacamole lover's dream, unless your a vegetarian, then maybe not because of the delicious beef...and well the crispy bacon, but both those things combined with guac, might bring you to the dark side. Consider yourself warned. #2 Skylar's Egg Sammy - is a sandwich on a multigrain bread, with scrambled egg, avocado, cheddar and spring greens. Don't let the multigrain bread and greens fool you, this is a decadent sandwich that is super filling and will have you dreaming of it for days. #3 Crabcake Sandwich - When you are feeling like a baller, for $15 get a giant crabcake with cajun aioli. Just add a mimosa and who needs a yacht? #4 The Tohickon - consider this an early thanksgiving treat with full of turkey, cornbread stuffing, cranberry, toasted country white bread. I also love that many of their brunch items come with a fresh selection of a bakery item, it makes me feel not so guilty about having a chocolate croissant as a side...plus u get a little cup of fruit that always makes you feel healthy. An added bonus is the actual story of the Cafe, which makes you fall in love a little more with it's tiny outside porch, the creative kitchen decor around and the delicious food. Parking is super crappy all over New Hope, but thankfully Cafe Blue Moose is about a block from a lot. So go visit and let me know if you loved it as much as I did!

    I was here for lunch and had the entire outdoor seating by myself!! Salad was very fresh!! I know it shouldn't hard to order a salad without wilted green. Since it is a cafe, coffee is decent. Service is very attentive and friendly. I have nothing to pick on this place. It is an awesome place for brunch.

    I am so glad we made the drive down specifically to try this gem out. The food was delicious, with some very unique options that I was really happy to try. Will definitely go again. Parking was a hassle but if you drive past the restaurant, right after the block ends, you will see a spot for four or five metered parking spots. We were lucky to find one there.

    Brunch is an amazing meal, but suffers from one constant plague: the choice between a sweet and a savory menu item. Finally, a restaurant has solved the problem: all of their omelets, egg dishes, etc come with a bakery item! You can choose from myriad sweet or savory additions to your meal, including almond and chocolate croissants, muffins, biscuits, coffee cakes. I was so happy! Unfortunately, it doesn't work the other way (you don't get additional items with the French toast or sandwiches). The food was really good. I had the Enrique's Huevos, and it was seasoned incredibly well, cooked perfectly, and had a great combo of pico de gallo, beans, and cheese mixed in the eggs. It was served with fruit and the aforementioned bakery item; I chose the almond croissant. My fellow diners were also very happy with their food. Everything was fresh, and it looks like they grow a number of herbs and vegetables there. It's an eclectic, hippy-ish restaurant, with cool artistic decoration. I wish I lived in the area so I could eat there more often.

    Firstly I would like to start this by saying that I have been to the Blue Moose several times now and have had nothing but good things to say about it. The food is made from scratch, eclectic and simply delicious. However, tonight my girlfriend and I had a particularly frustrating experience. After making reservations for the outside seating, we ended up sitting inside, which was fine, because the seating, although limited at the Blue Moose, is always comfortable. We ordered appetizers (salad and the spinach and artichoke dip) but were given a salad and Brie. I told the waitress that I had ordered the spinach and artichoke dip, so she took the Brie back and a few moments later brought the correct appetizer. (Note: I am certain I did not order the Brie because until tonight I hadn't a clue what Brie was) Then our entrees arrived, I ordered the salmon (which is incredible) but my girlfriend had ordered the crab cakes.... But they brought out fish and chips. The fish and chips were part of a special menu option (three course meal for 22 dollars) my girlfriend, always being the one not to cause a fuss, told the server not to worry about it and took the fish and chips. (Although she really, really wanted the crab cakes) After a few moments I could tell she wasn't happy with her entree, so I let her finish mine. (We hardly ate any of the fish and chips) The server came back and could see that we didn't eat any of the fish and chips and offered us a box to wrap it up, but we declined, and I even mentioned to her that we don't really like battered or fried foods. When we got our bill, I noticed she charged us 24.00 per three course meal. But the special was 22.00 for a three course meal.... Now 2.00 is not a lot of money, but if you are going to bring someone the wrong meal... You probably shouldn't overcharge them too. Right? So the server offered to bring us a free dessert... But being that the deal was 22.00 including a dessert.... Wouldn't that mean I already paid for the dessert? After leaving, my girlfriend insisted we call and voice our concerns. After a brief conversion with a gentleman on the phone, he asked my girlfriend if (and I'll admit I didn't hear his tone) if she was, "asking for something thing for free" and this question particularly frustrates me, because we never ask for anything for free. Never. We didn't get the seats we reserved, fine. We got the wrong appetizer, fine, easy fix. We got the wrong meal, we dealt with it and even paid for it. THEN we were over-billed and almost didn't get the dessert we paid for. ..... That's tough to digest.

    A gem in New Hope. We started the dinner with a coucous salad which was a delicious. The apricots and pistachios gave it the perfect blend of sweet and crunch. My wife and i both had seafood dishes and they were excellent. She had a chili glazed salmon which was seared to perfection. My creole catfish with collard greens was outstanding. And the fact that its BYOB makes it even more attractive. If you are in New Hope make this a stop for dinner, you won't be disappointed!

    Great for a group brunch. BYOB We celebrated my sisters birthday there was a group of 9 of us and they fit us in the front downstairs room. You can't make a reservation which is a little inconvenient. I had the eggs benedict which was very good and I tried the quiche which was excellent.

    BYOB hipster style New Hope fair (if you've ever been to New Hope you know what I mean and if you haven't ... go). Cafe Blue Moose has a cute, if a bit cramped, interior with two floors and an outdoor dining area in the back. The staff is friendly if a bit harried dealing with New Hope crowds which seem to get bigger every year which means Cafe Blue Moose gets more crowded every year. That's the only real ding on the place, but be wary of the restaurant that doesn't draw a crowd. The food is hipster spins on fairly ordinary fair but you don't get the sense that this is a poser place. They genuinely care about the food they serve and it shows (and tastes). CBM also offers some really neat iced tea, served in two decanters and poured/mixed for you on the spot. Probably the only time in my life I've bragged about someone's iced tea. Overall, this place wins for casual ambiance, food and generally friendly service. The pricing, while a tad expensive for PA, is cheap for the East Coast crowd. Taking a star off for CBM still figuring out how to handle their success well but definitely worth the wait if you're in the area.

    I was torn between a 4 and a 5 but when I realized the concept of this place is that it's run by kids, I had to bump it up to a 5. Really fantastic food by any standards, but for a place that has chefs under 20 years old, it was impressive. We went for brunch at about 11 on a Sunday and fortunately we were able to get right in. This restaurant is fairly small so I would recommend having a plan B if it happens to be small. For the food I went with the pancakes which were excellent. Great crispy bacon too. My friends had the omelette and the scramble and they both looked and sounded excellent too. Good prices. Good food. Good service. No bar, but I hear it's BYO.

    Went here today for my birthday with my family. We couldn't have been more pleased with our experience. The service was excellent even as they filled up to a full house. The tables were set to give comfort to all. Their back porch dining area looked very comfortable and was set at second floor level. We shared three appetizers. All were special. The beets and cheese, strawberry soup and mushroom soup were each delicious. For entrees we had the crab cake, pork chop "special", and a pork shank. We were all pleased. Then for dessert we had the cream brûlée , brownie a la mode, and tiramisu, all delicious. The portions were good size, presentation 1st rate and servers were ever available if we wanted or needed them. Can't say enough what a great experience. We would return and refer family and friends.

    We spent Valentines Day (with 4 other couples) at this fabulous spot. The food was delish and gorgeously presented. Everyone at our table loved every morsel of their meals. I enjoyed the beet and goats cheese brulee (for a gf option they served it with corn chips), my pork chop was delish. My honey's pork shank looked amazing and fell apart at the touch of a fork. We ordered every dessert on the menu to try them all. The brulee was my fave. Fantastic to be BYOB. We enjoyed chatting with the chef who is committed to creating a great experience for his guests.

    Finally had a chance to try Cafe Blue Moose. Note, this is a very small place so reservations are HIGHLY recommended. As other Yelplers have mentioned, the price is very reasonable which is a little rare in downtown New Hope. I really liked the atmosphere and decor inside too. Cute place! I went with the 2 course dinner for $22. For my appetizer, I went with the Kiki's nachos which were good. Everything tasted fresh. For my entree, I went with Bay scallop fra-diavolo. The size of the entree was more than I expected so I took some home with me. Overall, it was a good dish and I really enjoyed the sauce. Through out of visit the service was very prompt and friendly. I enjoyed our experience so will be returning - next time with guests!

    Definitely a hidden gem in the heart of New Hope. The decor was nothing short of whimsical and unique, and the atmosphere was warm and cozy. The staff was super friendly and seated us immediately as we arrived a little early for our dinner reservations (definitely be sure to make a reservation ahead of time!). We dined on the second floor patio beneath the trees on a gorgeous day and absolutely loved the vibe. The owner/head chef personally seated us and brought us water, making sure that everyone was taken care of. I had the zippity caesar, steak chimichurri, and tirimisu. My sister had the mushroom risotto bites, chicken picatta, and brownie a la mode. We both LOVED our meals and shared our appetizers & desserts. Highly highly recommend the mushroom risotto bites because they were out of this world - all of the food was! Extra love for this place since discovering that it is operated by a young owner who employs a young staff that run a very professional and impressive restaurant. Cannot wait to come back!

    Great restaurant, prices are very reasonable for a 2 or 3 course meal. The restaurant is small and intimate only downside is on a rainy or snowy night there is not a waiting area, this is very common for restaurants in New Hope though. I would definitely make a reservation ahead of time due to size and popularity in the area.

    It was our first time at Blue Moose cafe, and we will definitely be returning. I made a reservation for 5 pm and we were promptly seated at a booth near the front door. The restaurant is small and cozy, and we were very close to the table next of us, but we didn't mind at all. I highly recommended you make reservations; I saw at least 4 groups turned away during or dinner. We chose the 3 courses for $30, which I felt was well worth the money. I had a Caesar salad with bacon and avocado, a crab cake over a bed of kale and topped with pickled red cabbage, and a lemon layer cake. Every dish was fresh, delicious and well presented. We left feeling full and satisfied, and our dinner was only $65, which was a great value for the quality of ingredients. The restaurant is BYOB. I also wanted to add that our server was pleasant, prompt and extremely friendly. You could tell she enjoys working here, which is sometimes rare with servers. We can't wait to return.

    Cute, little place on Mechanic St. in New Hope. Friendly staff, cozy atmosphere. No high chairs though for the squishy ones. Only booster seats. But we sat in the bench with our babe and it was fine. Yummy coffee, scone was DELICIOUS and warm and slightly glazed mmmm. My main squeeze ordered the scrambled sandwich def a must eat. I got the eggs Benny with ham - a lil too hammy for my liking but was still yum - eggs poached to perfection and just the right amount of hollandaise sauce. Squish loved the potatoes. Possibly our new forever brunch spot.

    I've been wanting to try this place for a long time, but have never found a good time to visit as I'm not a local. My husband and I visit New Hope four times a year, so going for dinner is tough since we kind of decide on a whim and you really need reservations. We went down for the day and decided to try the Blue Moose, FINALLY. On our way we picked up a six pack of bee, because it's a byob. When you enter the place it's quaint and cute. It's two floors. The first floor has 4 tables and upstairs has around 10. We were there for lunch. We started with the mushroom risotto balls. SO freaking good. It came with this creamy dipping sauce with pickled veggies and a slaw. I devoured it. It was a nice size for only $8. I ordered the ham and cheese with beschamel sauce with the home made chips. My husband ordered the Alicia Moore. It was grilled chicken, bacon, some yummy mayo concoction, and some other things I can't remember. I think it was called with the sweet potato fries. MY husband LOVED that it they had maple syrup. He loves it with sweet potato fries. We split our lunches and both sandwiches were awesome. I could not possibly finish it; I was so full. Sandwiches are around 10-11 and the ingredients are fresh and high quality. I did have a chance to look over their dinner menu and I can't wait to try that on my next visit.

    Best brunch in the area! We always make sure that get here before 10AM on Sunday so that we never have to wait. The food is excellent, baked goods delicious, and quality and quantity of food always perfect and first rate. The place is cute, a little cramped but not bad. We love it and always come back.     I really loved this place. Went there for dinner 2 weeks ago with friends. Quinoa chili was delicious as was the different burgers myself and other friends got. Went for a delicious lunch today. I had a grilled chicken sandwhich with pickled carrots, cheddar cheese, grilled chicken, and spicy aoli. My wife had a burger with horseradish and mushrooms which was also awesome. Byob. Highly recommend. Make a reservation, seating is limited. Great date place or spot to meet up with a few friends.

    Maybe we were here on an "off" day but we had to wait 20 mins in the small front area even though there were open tables both downstairs and upstairs. But, it appeared they were under staffed. The food was good but not amazing. The Pablito Burger was the best thing we ordered. The hot drinks were also good (latte and cappuccino)

    I have been to this place 4 times over the past 2 years and the food is absolutely amazing each time. The menu changes slightly every few months, which is great because it keeps us coming back to try something new. In July 2014, my wife and I held our rehearsal dinner here and each one of our guests said how great the food was. Even more, the chef/owner came out to make certain everyone was enjoying the food. We just went back this past Saturday and once again the food was awesome. The beets and goat cheese appetizer was seriously the best thing I have had. So much so that I made it for myself for dinner last night. My wife loved the Chicken Marsala and the Meatloaf was amazing. It was cool to see the chef/owner walking around and making sure everyone was enjoying themselves again. It is an added bonus to see that someone cares that much about not only serving quality food, but providing a great experience to boot. If I could eat there every week I would. We will definitely be back.

    I hosted a small bachelorette party here the other night. The price fix menu and BYOB made this an economical choice that definitely didn't feel like it! The food was delicious and the presentation was impressive. In my party of eight, everyone enjoyed their meal from the salads, appetizers, main dishes, to dessert! The restaurant is small (seats about 40) but the atmosphere is cute and quirky. We left saying we would return for a date night.

    Enjoyed dinner here a few nights ago. We really loved the concept and the food didn't disappoint. Started with a Caesar and their Signature salads. Both were fantastic. For our entrees, I had the Braised Pork Loin and my husband had the Beef Bourguignon. Both were actually pretty similar in terms of presentation and garnish - but delicious nonetheless. I could've done with a bit more salt and seasoning to my meat but really, that's just being nitpicky. The best part? Our two course meal was just $22! At any other New Hope/Lambertville restaurant, it'd be twice the price. We look forward to visiting again!

    I love this place! I am so glad it was recommended. The decor is adorable and the service was fabulous. We had a seafood au gratin which was the special it was to die for.     Truthfully, I think the best word to describe what's going on here is "cute". Maybe even "adorable". Come on, you can't write a bad review for a group of young kids running a restaurant all by themselves. You do, however, need to give them all credit for doing a great job working as a team in the dining room. It shows in the excellent service. You have to also give them credit for having jobs that they seem to care about at such a young age. In all honesty it's like some after school project to keep kids off the streets... and I admire that. But let's be honest, I'm not sure how many disenfranchised youths actually live on the streets of Bucks County. So this is kind of like eating in a clubhouse. The food seems to be carefully cooked and playfully plated, but contrary to all the press on this place, it resembles in no way that of a seasoned chef just back from a stint in France. Meatloaf?... Chicken Pot Pie?... eh, I don't know. The food is all just ok. It is great, however, for a group of young kids running their own show. But 5 stars?... come on people, doing that defeats the entire concept of what yelp is. Maybe on "Yelp Jr " I might agree. But here on regular grown up yelp, compared to every other restaurant, it's not even close. But don't go out of your way for the food, go in support of something positive.

    This place is great! The food is fresh, they have innovative dishes, and it is aptly priced. Both the interior and exterior seating (small outdoor back patio) offer a great dining atmosphere. I believe the restaurant focuses on employing and furthering the careers of youth and young adults which is a neat feature.... The food is top notch with regards to appearance, temperature, and taste. We had the risotto bites and honey-goat cheese with pickled beets on toast appetizers. Both were fantastic! My wife enjoyed the special for the night which was wild mushroom ravioli in a cream sauce and I sunk my teeth into the buttery pork shank. There are great dishes for both meat and non-meat eaters. We had NO COMPLAINTS at any point of the evening. The wait staff was polite, helpful in dining questions, and made an effort to seat us where we wanted. The restaurant is located conveniently in the heart of New Hope, surrounded by several other bars and shops for pre and post dining stops. This place is perfect for a casual attire meal for a date or even for a group of up to about 6. They can probably seat a larger party if you ask them but we saw about 6 tops as the most while there. The restaurant, like many other surrounding ones, is creatively designed out of a two-story house and has quirky, yet creative and tasteful interior design. I would definitely make a reservation for dinner on a Friday or Saturday night. It is BYOB!

    My boyfriend and I came here to get a late lunch one afternoon. We both ordered burgers and asked to have them cooked well done, but when we got them, they were undercooked. It was unfortunate that they did not cook them to order, and we both ended up eating less than half of our meal. The parts that were more thoroughly cooked were good, though.

    I went here with my parents after they had read an article in the local newspaper. We were not sure what to expect but had heard that they got great reviews from food critics as well as the local populace. When we arrived, (with reservations) we were immediately seated and asked if we wanted any beverages. The service was prompt and helpful, everything that we asked for was quickly taken care of by our waitress. The overall quality of the food was delectable. I personally got the salmon which came with grilled vegetables and a rice pilaf. The fish was perfectly cooked and the sides were fantastic. I did not get the desert but opted instead for the two course meal and had the salad ( trying to avoid excess fat and carbs). The price was extremely reasonable for the meal and we left a considerate tip for our kind waitress. I would highly recommend this little gem to anyone who likes great food at a fair price and also enjoys a quaint, intimate dining experience.

    My girlfriend surprised me with an impromptu trip to New Hope and a dinner at Cafe Blue Moose. As soon as I stepped inside, I loved it! We had an 8:30 reservation - I think the latest they accept - and the place was totally full but not at all loud or crowded. We ate downstairs and I didn't see the upstairs so I can't speak to that, but I loved the atmosphere: relaxing, and not at all pretentious. The food was great - fresh, seasonal, delicious, not too heavy. We started with the artichoke dip and the mushroom risotto balls; I had the crab cake as my entree and my girlfriend had the chicken tacos; and then we had the port wine-soaked cherry brownie for dessert, which you must get, because it was the best dessert I've ever had. We unashamedly polished off a bottle of wine and could be quite leisurely about it because they didn't rush us out even though it was past 10 and they were cleaning up. Possibly the best part of dinner was the music playing. I think it was a Spotify playlist, but regardless, it really rounded out the ambience. And don't forget to BYO! We will DEFINITELY be back. I only wish we lived closer to New Hope!

    Cute little place -- difficult to get reservation. Wonderful dinner at reasonable price. Ginger butternut soup was very tasty and perfect richness. The crab cake was all crab sitting on a tasty farro risotto with kale all topped with slaw. Waitress even reorganized our check to save us some money. Others at table enjoyed a burger, tilapia and Mediterranean salad. Desserts looked good, but wanted to check out Nina's down the block. Will definitely return.

    The atmohphere here was good, quaint, small, lots of knicknacks and friendly people working. When we were seated, for some reason they decided to seat us right next to the bathroom. I can understand if the place is packed and that was the last table they could offer, but there was at least 4 or 5 other tables available. We didn't realize the bathroom was literally 2 feet away from our table until our coffees and baked goods were already on the table. Someone walked in, and you can hear the person inside using the toilet, flushing and washing their hands. All this while we are trying to enjoy our meal. If you come here, ask for a table away from the bathroom. We came here during brunch and I had the eggs benedict. The hollandaise sauce was runny and not good. Instead of using an english muffin, they used a baguettte which has a round outside so everytime I went to cut into the eggs benedict, it would roll away and everything rolled off. It was annoying to eat. Also the salmon was not cleaned properly which was also annoying because we had to take it out and clean it before putting it back in to eat. They serve homemade chips with the brunch which was sitting in the runny hollandaise sauce so most of them were soggy but the few that weren't soggy were good. The banana bread was ok, I bake a better banana bread at home. But the coffee crumb cake was light, buttery and very good. Our experience was overall ok. I might try this place again to give them another chance but probably not anytime soon as there are a lot of other places to eat in the area.

    We enjoyed the prix fix menu beginning with the pear salad for me and the house salad for Bob. They were a delish opus. The greens were fresh and tossed with a perfect amount of dressing and extras, nuts, cranberry, cheese. I had the pork tenderloin with mashed potato and shredded cabbage and carrots. It was excellent. Bob enjoyed the pasta with clam sauce. That too was very good. We ended our meal with a lemon layer cake and a pumpkin spice cake.

    OK - don't get mad at me - but for the first time in my life I told a chef/owner of a restaurant that he was shortchanging himself and should charge more for dinner! The chef in question is Skylar Bird and he has a great looking/feeling place in the middle of New Hope. On Friday & Saturday nights there is only the 3 course, $28 tasting menu to choose from. There were 3 of us so we were able to sample a variety of his offerings. There were 2 soups but we both picked the same delicious creamy potato one, with a Green Tomato Salad being the other pick. (And there had to be at least another 4 salad choices.) For our entrées, all were particularly good but the Fish of the Day (Stuffed Flounder with Tarragon Cream) was the overall "winner". The Beef Bourguignon was delicious and fit into the chilly feeling of our walk over to the restaurant. The Ginger Beer Braised Pork Shank was also very good. Since it was a tasting menu, we all got to pick a dessert and any one of them would have been enough to serve all 3 of us. All were delicious. So before the chef takes my advice (and even if he already has) make this a place to try. It's cash only & BYO

    My mom and I were in New Hope for lunch and she had heard good things about Cafe Blue Moose. We had our dog with us and asked about outdoor seating. Currently their balcony was closed because of the weather but they opened a table for us and let our dog stay. He was loved by the waitstaff and our waitress even brought him water. They were very friendly and accommodating! The food was good as well. I had the chicken sandwich on whole grain bread with pesto and mozzarella. The option of sweet potato fries was a good idea, and they were cooked perfectly! My mom had a salad and it was a good size. Lunch was only $25 for two people, which was also a plus. We're already planning on going back for dinner!

    Café Blue Moose is one of the best restaurants in New Hope/Lambertville. It is reasonably priced with wonderful food and excellent service. There is nothing on the menu I wouldn't recommend. As are many restaurants in the area it is BYOB so don't forget to bring your own adult beverages if wanted. I am a local and selfishly would like to say CBM is horrible so I'll have an easier time getting a reservation but I have to be honest: it is well worth the visit.

    This is my favorite place in New Hope. Everything is incredible; the service, presentation, atmosphere (fun, light, airy), and the food!!!! Oh my heck. The food!!!! My only suggestion, make sure you don't get the table by the bathroom.     Came here on my first trip to New Hope - and this place fits in perfectly with the town's atmosphere! I loved all of the colors on the inside, the use of various kitchen equipment for things other than kitchen equipment, and the pictures of stars in the bathroom with moose antlers. The service was pretty good, and everyone was very nice. The menu was hard to decide from - there were so many things that sounded amazing on it! I ended up going for the LGBT Burger which had lettuce, guacamole, bacon, and tomatoes! I love anything with guacamole and bacon, so this burger was perfect! It did not have cheese, and I usually miss cheese on a burger, but I didn't miss the cheese at all. Everyone else in my group also seemed very happy with their choice of meals! My boyfriend also had a cup of hot chocolate which was delicious, so decadent! The only downfall of our experience here was that we did not bring wine! It's a BYOB,so come prepared! This place is def. a must if you're in the New Hope area! PS - to get to the bathroom, you pretty much have to go through to the kitchen, don't be scared, just do it! lol

    What a fun little restaurant! My family and I were visiting friends in New Hope and when our reservations to another restaurant fell through, we decided to try Cafe Blue Moose. The place was packed which is always a great sign to any place, but they were able to seat our party on the second floor. The menu selections were excellent and we had a hard time narrowing it down to just a few things. Wisely, we ordered a bunch of different things and then sampled from each plate. The butternut squash soup and the pumpkin macaroni and cheese turned out to be some of my favorites (and just when I thought it couldn't get any more delicious... I ordered the Sexy Moose Tracks cake) YUMMMM! It didn't disappoint. Aside from the yumminess, the presentation of each course was flawless as well. I always appreciate when a plate of food looks pretty as well as tastes great. Bravo. We will be back again for sure.

    The only reason why I gave 4 rather than 5 stars is simply that we were only given a breakfast menu @ noon only to see the table next to us handed breakfast & lunch menus. Both menus looked outstanding & the breakfast did not disappoint. The "lunatic" wrap was very well seasoned as well as put together. My husband ordered the "zipity" omelet which was also perfectly prepared, the portions are generous & the staff is charming, our breakfast was about an hour & a half total time & completely worth the wait. Best seats are upstairs in the carpeted area or downstairs by the window. Love the decorative lights, parasols, and lamps they have hanging from the ceiling and the artwork on the table tops. Service: Servers are super friendly, young, and enthusiastic -- they can accommodate whatever you need on the menu. Absolutely make a reservation before you go.     I stumbled upon this great place for lunch with my best friend. Very cute decor inside. I love the concept of having teenage chefs. Don't be fooled by this, the food is fantastic! We had the soup du jour, which was a potatoes and cauliflower soup. It was surprisingly velvety and light. If I could of licked the bowl, I would have. We then shared the grilled flat bread with butternut squash, ricotta, spinach and parmesan cheese. It was crispy and delicious. We split the Dean and Gene Weens sandwich, it had grilled chicken, pesto, fried tomato and mozzarella on it. It was very good and we substituted sweet potato fries, which were very fresh and homemade (not frozen). The waitress was very sweet and attentive. I would recommend this place and would go back to try more of their menu if I visited the area again.

    Located in the cute town of New Hope. I came upon this cute breakfast spot thanks to my fellow yelpers. They have optional seating on the first floor, second floor and the balcony which is located on the second floor. Great breakfast selection I went for the eggs Benny which was very tasty and spot on. If your an eggs Benedict breakfast person like myself then the eggs Benny is the choice to go with. I would make the 60 mile drive for the eggs Benny since they were just that good. The decor is interesting and cool the ceiling lights are made out of cheese graders which I thought was a very cool concept. Friendly customer service, all in all a great breakfast and I left as one happy customer. This place should definitely be on everybody's bucket list of places to eat at.

    Was here on September 5, 2015 for lunch. Ordered the "Stan and Jan" roast beef sandwich which was nothing to write home about. While the beef was tender, the menu listed horseradish aioli and red onion jam (my main reason for ordering the item) as being on the sammie, but I couldn't taste it at all; kinda lack luster without those condiments - definitely would have been much better with the spicy kick. A table across from me ordered French toast with strawberries and bananas and eggs benny both of which looked amazing. I would definitely give this place another shot next time I'm in the area.

    Had a fantastic pre-fixe dinner here tonight. $24 for two courses, x 2 people. We chose 1 appetizer, 2 entrees and 1 dessert, $48. Well worth it. The salad came out quickly. However, the wait for our 2nd course was very long (somewhere around 20 minutes) and that's the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. That and that we weren't offered sofa refills. Butter for our bread was so tasty. Really. Try it. The ceasar Salad was great! It had bits of hass avocados and grape tomatoes in it. Unsual in a Caesar salad but a welcome surprise. I really enjoyed this salad. The Chicken Marsala was VERY GOOD. The chicken was perfectly cooked yet extremely tender. Possibly the best chicken I've ever had. It had just the right amount of mushrooms on top. I enjoyed the rice snd sauteed zucchini/squash that was served with it. I tasted a bit of the Braised Shortrib and it did not disappoint. Creme Brulee was so good! I almost liked the plate clean.

    Cute, hip little place with adorable decorative accents like industrial beater hanging light fixtures and built in containing an assortment of popular cook books. There is a great little outdoor patio. We came for Sunday brunch. It was busy but not overly crowded. At 10:45 am, we were seated right away however were not given menus upon seating and it took long enough to get them that it was noticeable. We were eventually given menus but not asked if we wanted drinks or coffee until the server came to take our food order. Strange practice or just a green server? Also, offered hot sauce when we were halfway through meal instead of when food was served. It took a full 45 minutes to receive our food from the time we arrived. Our order was 2 omelets and 2 burgers, nothing special so not sure if they were under staffed in the kitchen? Due to gluten issues I asked if the breakfast potatoes that accompany the omelets could be baked or griddle finished instead of put in the fryer due to cross contamination but was told I could not be accomodated. They offered extra fruit as an alternative but normally you would get toast, potatoes, and fruit with the omelet and two of these options had to be eliminated. I did not order fries so I cannot understand why my breakfast potatoes could not be cooked another way. Food was good. No complaints. Ok overall but would definitely try someplace else next time.

    I've been waiting to go here for so long and finally made it. I once tried to go for Sunday brunch but was told the wait was an hour so I gave up but I went back on a Saturday. The place wasn't crowded at all to my surprise! We were seated right away. Phew. We sat outside on a beautiful day and had a great experience. I ordered the French omelette with pepper jack cheese and tomatoes. It came with fruit salad, home fries, and a choice of toast or a pastry. It was the best omelette I've ever had in my life! The eggs were so fluffy and perfectly cooked that I don't think I can have omelettes anywhere else again. Still dreaming about it. My friend ordered an omelette with a scone. I wish I ordered the scone instead of toast because it was so fluffy and scrumptious, and I don't even like scones. Dying to come back.......best brunch place ever. The awesome reviews are there for a reason!

    Exceeded my expectations. Reading the menu posted on the exterior front, I thought, "Inventive items... Perhaps a bit pricy and limiting," but I thought I'd give it a try because the other Yelp reviewers rated it well. I'm glad I did. I sat outside on the back porch (VERY PLEASANT with 80's and 90's tunes at a low volume, and nearly no street noise). I was served with silverware wrapped in a linen napkin, and a bottle of water on the table. I ordered coffee (excellently strong, not bitter) and Skylar's Egg Sammy ( with ham added). SO GOOD! Nice portion size, and served with deliciously done potatoes (too good to be called anything else) and a small portion of fruit. The service was attentive without being intrusive or rushed. Do yourself a favor: try the Blue Moose. I'm glad I did.

    We just had a really nice brunch/breakfast -- a nice weekend alternative to Fred's Breakfast :). They're open at 9AM both on Saturdays and Sundays (despite a mistake on their website that only shows Sundays -- I'll call them and tell them to correct). They've opened a really nice patio on the second floor and it was a wonderful way to start the weekend. Cafe Blue Moose was founded by Skylar Bird in 2006 when he was 14! The inside decor is whimsical and hip. The entire staff are college and highschool aged. Reservations only for groups of 10+. This is an independent review.     This place is on regular rotation on my New Hope Brunch trips, with it's great food, cozy ambiance and BYOB-ness. If you are on a hot date, make sure to request outside seating on a beautiful warm day for extra points and added privacy. For entree items here are my TOP favorites: #1 LBGT burger - is a guacamole lover's dream, unless your a vegetarian, then maybe not because of the delicious beef...and well the crispy bacon, but both those things combined with guac, might bring you to the dark side. Consider yourself warned. #2 Skylar's Egg Sammy - is a sandwich on a multigrain bread, with scrambled egg, avocado, cheddar and spring greens. Don't let the multigrain bread and greens fool you, this is a decadent sandwich that is super filling and will have you dreaming of it for days. #3 Crabcake Sandwich - When you are feeling like a baller, for $15 get a giant crabcake with cajun aioli. Just add a mimosa and who needs a yacht? #4 The Tohickon - consider this an early thanksgiving treat with full of turkey, cornbread stuffing, cranberry, toasted country white bread. I also love that many of their brunch items come with a fresh selection of a bakery item, it makes me feel not so guilty about having a chocolate croissant as a side...plus u get a little cup of fruit that always makes you feel healthy. An added bonus is the actual story of the Cafe, which makes you fall in love a little more with it's tiny outside porch, the creative kitchen decor around and the delicious food. Parking is super crappy all over New Hope, but thankfully Cafe Blue Moose is about a block from a lot. So go visit and let me know if you loved it as much as I did!

    Firstly I would like to start this by saying that I have been to the Blue Moose several times now and have had nothing but good things to say about it. The food is made from scratch, eclectic and simply delicious. However, tonight my girlfriend and I had a particularly frustrating experience. After making reservations for the outside seating, we ended up sitting inside, which was fine, because the seating, although limited at the Blue Moose, is always comfortable. We ordered appetizers (salad and the spinach and artichoke dip) but were given a salad and Brie. I told the waitress that I had ordered the spinach and artichoke dip, so she took the Brie back and a few moments later brought the correct appetizer. (Note: I am certain I did not order the Brie because until tonight I hadn't a clue what Brie was) Then our entrees arrived, I ordered the salmon (which is incredible) but my girlfriend had ordered the crab cakes.... But they brought out fish and chips. The fish and chips were part of a special menu option (three course meal for 22 dollars) my girlfriend, always being the one not to cause a fuss, told the server not to worry about it and took the fish and chips. (Although she really, really wanted the crab cakes) After a few moments I could tell she wasn't happy with her entree, so I let her finish mine. (We hardly ate any of the fish and chips) The server came back and could see that we didn't eat any of the fish and chips and offered us a box to wrap it up, but we declined, and I even mentioned to her that we don't really like battered or fried foods. When we got our bill, I noticed she charged us 24.00 per three course meal. But the special was 22.00 for a three course meal.... Now 2.00 is not a lot of money, but if you are going to bring someone the wrong meal... You probably shouldn't overcharge them too. Right? So the server offered to bring us a free dessert... But being that the deal was 22.00 including a dessert.... Wouldn't that mean I already paid for the dessert? After leaving, my girlfriend insisted we call and voice our concerns. After a brief conversion with a gentleman on the phone, he asked my girlfriend if (and I'll admit I didn't hear his tone) if she was, "asking for something thing for free" and this question particularly frustrates me, because we never ask for anything for free. Never. We didn't get the seats we reserved, fine. We got the wrong appetizer, fine, easy fix. We got the wrong meal, we dealt with it and even paid for it. THEN we were over-billed and almost didn't get the dessert we paid for. ..... That's tough to digest.

    I am so glad we made the drive down specifically to try this gem out. The food was delicious, with some very unique options that I was really happy to try. Will definitely go again. Parking was a hassle but if you drive past the restaurant, right after the block ends, you will see a spot for four or five metered parking spots. We were lucky to find one there.

    Brunch is an amazing meal, but suffers from one constant plague: the choice between a sweet and a savory menu item. Finally, a restaurant has solved the problem: all of their omelets, egg dishes, etc come with a bakery item! You can choose from myriad sweet or savory additions to your meal, including almond and chocolate croissants, muffins, biscuits, coffee cakes. I was so happy! Unfortunately, it doesn't work the other way (you don't get additional items with the French toast or sandwiches). The food was really good. I had the Enrique's Huevos, and it was seasoned incredibly well, cooked perfectly, and had a great combo of pico de gallo, beans, and cheese mixed in the eggs. It was served with fruit and the aforementioned bakery item; I chose the almond croissant. My fellow diners were also very happy with their food. Everything was fresh, and it looks like they grow a number of herbs and vegetables there. It's an eclectic, hippy-ish restaurant, with cool artistic decoration. I wish I lived in the area so I could eat there more often.

    BYOB hipster style New Hope fair (if you've ever been to New Hope you know what I mean and if you haven't ... go). Cafe Blue Moose has a cute, if a bit cramped, interior with two floors and an outdoor dining area in the back. The staff is friendly if a bit harried dealing with New Hope crowds which seem to get bigger every year which means Cafe Blue Moose gets more crowded every year. That's the only real ding on the place, but be wary of the restaurant that doesn't draw a crowd. The food is hipster spins on fairly ordinary fair but you don't get the sense that this is a poser place. They genuinely care about the food they serve and it shows (and tastes). CBM also offers some really neat iced tea, served in two decanters and poured/mixed for you on the spot. Probably the only time in my life I've bragged about someone's iced tea. Overall, this place wins for casual ambiance, food and generally friendly service. The pricing, while a tad expensive for PA, is cheap for the East Coast crowd. Taking a star off for CBM still figuring out how to handle their success well but definitely worth the wait if you're in the area.

    I was torn between a 4 and a 5 but when I realized the concept of this place is that it's run by kids, I had to bump it up to a 5. Really fantastic food by any standards, but for a place that has chefs under 20 years old, it was impressive. We went for brunch at about 11 on a Sunday and fortunately we were able to get right in. This restaurant is fairly small so I would recommend having a plan B if it happens to be small. For the food I went with the pancakes which were excellent. Great crispy bacon too. My friends had the omelette and the scramble and they both looked and sounded excellent too. Good prices. Good food. Good service. No bar, but I hear it's BYO.

    Went here today for my birthday with my family. We couldn't have been more pleased with our experience. The service was excellent even as they filled up to a full house. The tables were set to give comfort to all. Their back porch dining area looked very comfortable and was set at second floor level. We shared three appetizers. All were special. The beets and cheese, strawberry soup and mushroom soup were each delicious. For entrees we had the crab cake, pork chop "special", and a pork shank. We were all pleased. Then for dessert we had the cream brûlée , brownie a la mode, and tiramisu, all delicious. The portions were good size, presentation 1st rate and servers were ever available if we wanted or needed them. Can't say enough what a great experience. We would return and refer family and friends.

    A gem in New Hope. We started the dinner with a coucous salad which was a delicious. The apricots and pistachios gave it the perfect blend of sweet and crunch. My wife and i both had seafood dishes and they were excellent. She had a chili glazed salmon which was seared to perfection. My creole catfish with collard greens was outstanding.     So Blue Moose really lives up to its rep. great entrees great appetizers and consistent quality. I ve been here a dozen times and Chef Skylar manages to present great food which changes seasonally. Try the strip steak with Chimichurri sauce. The pork shank is a menu staple and is not to be skipped for first timers. Dessert here is always a treat and if your not a dessert person you can have an appetizer and salad as part of your 3 course presentation. Make reservations well in advance this is quite the popular spot amoungst locals.

    We spent Valentines Day (with 4 other couples) at this fabulous spot. The food was delish and gorgeously presented. Everyone at our table loved every morsel of their meals. I enjoyed the beet and goats cheese brulee (for a gf option they served it with corn chips), my pork chop was delish. My honey's pork shank looked amazing and fell apart at the touch of a fork.     Finally had a chance to try Cafe Blue Moose. Note, this is a very small place so reservations are HIGHLY recommended. As other Yelplers have mentioned, the price is very reasonable which is a little rare in downtown New Hope. I really liked the atmosphere and decor inside too. Cute place! I went with the 2 course dinner for $22. For my appetizer, I went with the Kiki's nachos which were good. Everything tasted fresh. For my entree, I went with Bay scallop fra-diavolo. The size of the entree was more than I expected so I took some home with me. Overall, it was a good dish and I really enjoyed the sauce. Through out of visit the service was very prompt and friendly. I enjoyed our experience so will be returning - next time with guests!

    Definitely a hidden gem in the heart of New Hope. The decor was nothing short of whimsical and unique, and the atmosphere was warm and cozy. The staff was super friendly and seated us immediately as we arrived a little early for our dinner reservations (definitely be sure to make a reservation ahead of time!). We dined on the second floor patio beneath the trees on a gorgeous day and absolutely loved the vibe. The owner/head chef personally seated us and brought us water, making sure that everyone was taken care of. I had the zippity caesar, steak chimichurri, and tirimisu. My sister had the mushroom risotto bites, chicken picatta, and brownie a la mode. We both LOVED our meals and shared our appetizers & desserts. Highly highly recommend the mushroom risotto bites because they were out of this world - all of the food was! Extra love for this place since discovering that it is operated by a young owner who employs a young staff that run a very professional and impressive restaurant. Cannot wait to come back!

    It was our first time at Blue Moose cafe, and we will definitely be returning. I made a reservation for 5 pm and we were promptly seated at a booth near the front door. The restaurant is small and cozy, and we were very close to the table next of us, but we didn't mind at all. I highly recommended you make reservations; I saw at least 4 groups turned away during or dinner. We chose the 3 courses for $30, which I felt was well worth the money. I had a Caesar salad with bacon and avocado, a crab cake over a bed of kale and topped with pickled red cabbage, and a lemon layer cake. Every dish was fresh, delicious and well presented. We left feeling full and satisfied, and our dinner was only $65, which was a great value for the quality of ingredients. The restaurant is BYOB. I also wanted to add that our server was pleasant, prompt and extremely friendly. You could tell she enjoys working here, which is sometimes rare with servers. We can't wait to return.

    Cute, little place on Mechanic St. in New Hope. Friendly staff, cozy atmosphere. No high chairs though for the squishy ones. Only booster seats. But we sat in the bench with our babe and it was fine. Yummy coffee, scone was DELICIOUS and warm and slightly glazed mmmm. My main squeeze ordered the scrambled sandwich def a must eat. I got the eggs Benny with ham - a lil too hammy for my liking but was still yum - eggs poached to perfection and just the right amount of hollandaise sauce. Squish loved the potatoes.     I've been wanting to try this place for a long time, but have never found a good time to visit as I'm not a local. My husband and I visit New Hope four times a year, so going for dinner is tough since we kind of decide on a whim and you really need reservations. We went down for the day and decided to try the Blue Moose, FINALLY. On our way we picked up a six pack of bee, because it's a byob. When you enter the place it's quaint and cute. It's two floors. The first floor has 4 tables and upstairs has around 10. We were there for lunch. We started with the mushroom risotto balls. SO freaking good. It came with this creamy dipping sauce with pickled veggies and a slaw. I devoured it. It was a nice size for only $8. I ordered the ham and cheese with beschamel sauce with the home made chips. My husband ordered the Alicia Moore. It was grilled chicken, bacon, some yummy mayo concoction, and some other things I can't remember. I think it was called with the sweet potato fries. MY husband LOVED that it they had maple syrup. He loves it with sweet potato fries. We split our lunches and both sandwiches were awesome. I could not possibly finish it; I was so full. Sandwiches are around 10-11 and the ingredients are fresh and high quality. I did have a chance to look over their dinner menu and I can't wait to try that on my next visit.

    We stumbled across the Cafe Blue Moose BYO while searching for a simpler alternative to our regional gourmet favorite, Brian's in adjacent Lambertville. Blue Moose's dinner menu certainly doesn't impress, with nary a trace of exotica or molecular manipulation. However, such seemingly boring staples as shepherd's pie and pork shank land on your table as culinary masterpieces. Ingredients tend to be local, oozing freshness, and no shortcuts need apply. Even beef in the shepherd's pie, normally a dumping ground for leftover bits, had nary a trace of fat, gristle or tendon. The chef/owner, Skylar Bird, just turned 21. As a promising teenager, he experimented with a small "restaurant" in his parents' nearby home, then went on to culinary school and an apprenticeship in Lyon, France. He graduated to a restaurant in New York, simultaneously opening his own 40-seat eatery in a former New Hope row home. It is staffed by kindred souls -- young, chipper, helpful and friendly. At $25 prix fixe for a three-course dinner, it is enviably priced. Sunday brunch is same story, different chapter: $8-15 plus tip for superb eats in manly portions. Like dinner, brunch offerings often appear mainstream on the menu, but are prepared such that it's like Norma Jean morphing into Marilyn. Don't overlook the A+ baked goodies at the top of the menu, either. (Coffee's good, not great, but bottomless.) Downsides: 1) Word's gotten out, so weekends they're booked up to three weeks ahead; 2) Street parking can be difficult and is metered 9 AM-9 PM (bring lots of quarters); and 3) Cash or check only. Footnotes: 1) The funky decor is almost as enjoyable as the food. Tabletops act as media for local artwork, and all sorts of creative decoration abounds -- from lamps made of kitchen whisks, to suspended parasols. It works. 2) Just want dessert? Stop by shortly after 8 PM.

    My parents rave about this place so we came for a Saturday night dinner family affair. It's a youth run establishment and they actually do a pretty nice job for a bunch of youngin's. They had a party of 40 upstairs causing our 7:30 PM reservation to get pushed back, for which they compensated by providing free dessert and wine glasses to pregame for dinner on the front porch. Their ceasar salad with a twist was very good (avocado, crumbled goat cheese and tomato added in) and the butternut risotto with coconut milk, baby spinach and apples topped with fresh greens was very eccentric, although much sweeter than I had anticipated. You get a very "New Hope" feel here with the bright colors and idiosyncratic decor around every corner. It's clear why people are fans of the Blue Moose..

    I have a slight obsession with Cafe Blue Moose and I'm not afraid to admit it. After raving about this place for the past few months, I finally was able to take my grandma for a ride out to New Hope to come (all together about a 2 and half hour ride round trip from the Jersey Shore). It was a gorgeous fall day, but she at first couldn't understand why I wanted to go so far for lunch. We got to Cafe Blue Moose and were promptly seated. Gram didn't like the table we were sat at because of a draft, and the waitress was extremely pleasant and let Gram pick any table she wished. This was actually the first time I sat inside, we always have sat out on the patio, and I greatly enjoyed taking in all of the eclectic decorations and the quaint atmosphere. We sat in a cute booth surrounded by pillows and cookbooks, while we were eating I almost forgot we were at a restaurant and not in someone's cozy house! We started off with the warm brie with blueberries, nuts, and pumpkin sourdough bread. It was incredible and the perfect size for an appetizer for lunch. I had the crab cake sandwich and my Gram had the Chicken Tohickon, which was essentially Thanksgiving elevated to a new level. The bread was buttered like a grilled cheese, simply delicious, piled with a generous portion of turkey, spinach, cranberry sauce and stuffing. Gram and I joked we should just forego Thanksgiving and get a bunch of these sandwiches instead, they were awesome. The crabcake was delicious, lots of real crab. For dessert I had the pumpkin tart and Gram had the Apple Crisp with ice cream. Our waitress suggested the pumpkin tart and wow was she right. I typically never eat crust on pies, I just don't care for it, but this crust was amazing- light, buttery, not that usual hard, over cooked crust I normally have. Our waitress paced everything perfectly, didn't mind snapping a picture for us, and was very pleasant. Overall, another amazing experience, and afterwards Gram definitely understood why I wanted to go so far for lunch. I think I may have created my own problem though, because now she is already asking when we can go again for brunch or dinner! Just wish this place was closer! :-)

    What a great find in New Hope! I have been here 4 or 5 times for dinner and every time has been fabulous! The service is so friendly and efficient and food is delicious. I had a pear salad and a piping hot chicken pot pie. I was too full for dessert but got the brownie to go and it was as good as the bread and popcorn that we had before dinner. And the prices are too good to be true for the quality of food that you get in an adorable eclectic space. I'll keep coming back!

    The food was good, however, the service was horrendous. The restaurant was virtually empty, yet our food took oddly long to come out for the simple dishes that we ordered. Our waiter was extremely Inattentive and seemed genuinely irritated by us. For goodness sake, we didn't even get a simple "have a nice day" or "goodbye" after we paid and were leaving the restaurant.

    Our dinner at Cafe Blue Moose was a really nice experience. This small restaurant just a few doors up from the main street in New Hope is quite a find. The decor is fun, the staff is young and enthusiastic. I had the lamb meatballs, with pistachios, and julienne carrots on bulgar with a beet sauce. The blend of flavors was superb. For dessert I had the Sexy Moose...something, I forget the full name...but it was an unforgettable dessert. Thin ribbons of a dark, moist chocolate cake and cream, surrounded by a vanilla sauce and topped with a curled, crisp "cookie". It was light and lightly sweet. My husband had short ribs and a pulled pork appetizer which he says were both excellent. All-in-all, a very nice dining experience.

    This is how I love my food, hearty and nutritious. Brunch at Blue Moose was a delicious treat. I had the rancheros and of course, bottomless coffee. My sister had the quiche with fries. The quiche was loaded with fresh vegetables and the fries were crispy but soft inside, just like they should be made.     We went here with a rowdy group of 11 people for breakfast this weekend. Love the setting, very bright, colorful and cheery. Love the staff, they are friendly, knowledgable and competent. They provided us with glasses for mimosas, and a bucket of ice for our bloody Mary's. the food for breakfast was so delicious. Everyone loved their food! My Mediterranean scramble was wonderful, and my fiancé had a "Sammy" which was on an asiago bagel, which he raved about! And the value was amazing! I can't wait to go back for dinner! I met 5 of my friends on a Sunday night - we all came from varying distances - and some of us were late due parking difficulties in New Hope. The Blue Moose staff were very understanding and didn't rush us. I had the watermelon-feta salad and the pork shank, which were both delicious. The fact that Blue Moose is BYOB is a plus in my book....and the value can't be beat. I loved the funky decor as well. I will definitely return! Just budget plenty of time to find parking as New Hope can get pretty congested on the weekends.

    This was my first time at Cafe Blue Moose, and it was excellent. I decided to take my mom out for her birthday and saw that it had some great reviews. We had 6:30 reservations and were seated promptly. We sat on the first floor, and it was nice and cozy. I'm not sure what one of the previous reviewers was talking about when he said it was uncomfortable. For my first course, I had the Mediterranean salad. It was delicious. For my second course, I had a salmon cake special - equally delicious. For dessert, I had the Tira-moose-u, which was amazing. My mom had the Moose Tracks; I'll be having that for dessert the next time I go. The service was great too. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. The courses were paced nicely, and we never felt rushed. If you do decide to go, I suggest making a reservation. When we arrived, a couple had unsuccessfully tried to get a table without one. The quality of food that you get for the price is astounding. 3 courses for $27 is awesome. Plus, we're talking decent sized portions. I can't wait to go back.

    My husband and I tried Café Blue Moose for the first time this week. All I can say is that it is unbelievably good. Everything, from start to finish was perfect and delicious. And the service was excellent. You really can't go wrong with this place...and it's BYOB, which makes it even better. The salads (strawberry salad with poppy dressing for the hubby and Caesar salad for me) were so fresh and delicious, not to mention beautifully presented. My Caesar had goat cheese and avocado, which was different, but awesome. I had a seafood pasta that was to die for and my husband had the pork shank...the meat just melted in his mouth and he couldn't stop eating. Anyway, just go...it's SO worth it. Cash or check only.

    This was an awesome find! I went here with my parents while I was back in town during the holidays. It has a really great and cozy atmosphere, and the food and service were both great. I really liked their simple menu style with the two or three course meal options. I'd definitely come here again! Also, I love the way that they run this place and that it was started by two teens. What a great example of pursuing one's passion!

    Their food was great! I understand that the menu changes all the time. I had the lamb shank. Lets just say I never needed an knife, the meat fell right off the bone. The greatest thing I found about visiting new hope is that they dont give out many liquor licenses, so that combined with a $25 prefix and amazing food... I was in heaven! I wish i could find a place like this in NYC...

    I was there last week and I like everything about the place. I really enjoy the concept behind this restaurant --giving youth a chance to be entrepreneurs. The quality of the food was perfect!! I had the beef bouginioun and it was tender with no fat on it. THe mashed pototoes were flavourful and not watery or too thick. THe price is fantastic too-- $20 for 2 items and $25 for 3 items. THe only things that could have been a little better--service was a little slow and they only take cash! Neither of these 2 items really upset me though and I'd go back again.

    What a cute little place this is! Four of us had brunch and loved it. An Oscar Hammerstein sandwich was served on thick slabs of grainy bread, toasted to a mouthwatering crunch. Greek Scramble was egg with spinach and cheese, served piping hot with a very fresh fruit salad and choice of baked good. Mine was an almond croissant. Servers were young, energetic, knowledgeable and fun, and they kept our water glasses and coffee cups filled. New Hope can be a bit crazy. This place lets you chill, even on a steamy hot day.

    The concept and execution of this restaurant are amazing, as are its staff and ambiance. I honestly felt like I was eating in a very upscale tree house of sorts--what with the skylights, wood frame ceiling, and pictures of the teenage workers on the wall. With a 19 year old head chef and a French-inspired prix-fixe menu, you really can't go wrong. We went for dinner and it was spectacular. I wholeheartedly recommend checking this place out, as it's much quieter and relaxed than other New Hope eateries, while having great views, food, and location. The pumpkin and pear ravioli was stunning, the seafood salad was delectable, the chocolate cake was fantastic, and the local coffee was very enjoyable. Extra points for being a BYO with bottle openers! Can't wait to eat here again our next time in Bucks! Love it! And you get a complimentary cookie at the end!

    Kudos to the talented young chef for presenting delicious meals prepared with care at a great price. I chose items that appear on the website (mediterranean salad and braised pork shank), while my dinner partner tried a couple of additions to the menu (asparagus/quinoa salad and scallop risotto). Everything was spot on, as were the desserts: chocolate "moose" and tira-moose-u. Service was friendly and attentive. We'll be back.

    We had a very enjoyable dinner at this establishment this evening. The place is very welcoming and the decor is cute. When we were seated, the waitress brought some popcorn drizzled with butter (yum!) and leftover pastries from brunch (yum yum!). My wife and I shared zucchini soup (delicious at first and got a little salty towards the end) and Zippity Caeser Salad which was very good. The salad came with goat cheese and pine nuts which deepened the usual caeser salad flavor. For the main course, I had the sword fish special and my wife grilled asparagus risotto. My fish was perfectly cooked and was topped with sautéed pepper and onion. It also had pureed carrots, which was good but a bit sweet. I think it needed a bit of kick because the combination of these vegetable was too much on sweet side. The risotto was very good but did not get to the WOW level. For the desert, I had Tira-moose-u. It was more like a sponge cake with very thin layers of creme and chocolate. The taste of espresso was almost undetectable. My wife had strawberry crisp which was good but was a bit too sweet for my taste. The only thing I did not like was the coffee. I wish they served in a French press as it will add a super nice touch at the end of the meal. In a good way, the food is like fancy home style cooking. The taste and presentation is well done and is not pretentious or disappointing. The price is excellent. $27 for a 3 course meal isn't bad at all. Overall this is a very nice place to take your family and friends. I will definitely repeat. Oh, by the way, the parking situation SUCKS in this town. I parked in the parking lot by the theatre and had to pay $15!!!! I did not know I had to pay $15 on the weekend. So be careful with that.

    This is the third time we have traveled forty five minutes for dinner here in the last two months.The funky atmosphere,delightful wait-staff,and excellent food convinced us to return with another couple for a retirement celebration dinner.We were not disappointed.One highlight of this restaurant is the variety of menu items on each visit.They,in addition to the specials,ensure that one not fear "same ol' same ol'." This time was no exception.The pork shank was again a hit.The swordfish was moist,toothsome, and not overly saucy.The beef tenderloin substitute for the flank steak could not have been better.Peach cobbler for desert was a winner.All of this and the value for what we received caused us to overlook some minor criticisms: the reservation system(?) needs improvement. It took us two days before anyone answered the phone.The wait-staff is energetic and conscientious so why can't they learn what plate goes to which diner without having to ask "who gets the pickled chicken feet?"Pick,pick,pick....excuse me!After the delightful experience at Blue Moose we walked across the street to surprise the newly retired member of our party to thirty minutes of New Hope fireworks!Now,how can you beat that?

    Very glad we chose to eat here. The fixed price for $23 is well worth the money. The first thing they will bring out is popcorn and seasoned french bread, which is amazing. The appetizer salads for summer were great, my salad had watermelon and feta with some sort of fruity vinaigrette that jived together perfectly. Our dinners of grilled tuna and curried chicken were just amazing, and we had wonderful creme brûlée and chocolate cake to top off the meal. I dock one star for service, we had 3 servers covering our patio and didn't even received more water after the salad round. The desserts and check came similarly slow.

    Lovely, intimate cafe with a gifted young chef who changes the menu -- not seasonally but weekly, with a three-course prix fixe for $23 or two courses for $18. Everything is house made, including the great crusty French bread. The pumpkin pear ravioli were delicious, as was my chicken with apples and cherries and my husband's pork loin. Not to mention the Creme brûlée. The staff of this charming restaurant is all under 21. It's the future and it's worth supporting.

    We loved this place. We went on a Sunday night and opted for their appetizer/soup and entree price fixed selection. I ordered the pear, walnut, bleu cheese salad. My husband ordered the creamy potato soup. The waitress suggested the hanger steak. We both went with the steak and we were very pleased. BYO made it even better! Great service. Cash or check only so be prepared. We will definitely be back!!

    This new place was wonderful! The ambience was friendly and welcoming, the decorations were fun and clever. Instead of fresh bread, we were brought freshly popped popcorn to start (the bread and butter came later and were delicious as well).The prix fixe menu still offered enough choices. It was hard for us to make a decision! The salads were great and wonderfully displayed, the entrees were amazing, and the dessert, my god! $23 for three courses! And it's BYOB. The staff were very friendly. Love it, you must go!
